Yvonne J. Sultzaberger

Yvonne Sultzaberger, of New Cumberland, PA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1954, in Carlisle, PA.   Yvonne was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Catherine Loraine (Drexler) Boisvert. She was the loving wife of Stephen C. Sultzaberger with whom she celebrated 48 years of marriage. 

Yvonne graduated from Carlisle High School, Class of 1972.  She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Shippensburg University, earned a Master of Science Degree from Millersville University, and became a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.    

She provided services for Susquenita School District and Milton Hershey School prior to becoming a School Psychologist for Cumberland Valley School District, where she worked until retirement.   

Yvonne is survived by her husband Stephen; daughter Jennifer Caron (husband Noel), of Lower Allen Township, PA; son Scott Sultzaberger, of San Diego, CA; son Shaun Sultzaberger (wife Brittany), of Maple Shade, NJ; and daughter Chelsea Sultzaberger, of Camp Hill. 

She is also survived by sister Vicki O’Hanlan (husband Robert Monaghan), of Mechanicsburg, PA;  brother Col. William Boisvert (wife Patricia), of Schertz, TX; and sister Catherine Gulbrandsen, of Harrisburg, PA.  She is survived by grandchildren Ava and Bryce Caron.  

Yvonne was a member of the national and state associations of school psychologists, and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, PA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1610 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA.  Her service will be preceded by visitation with family beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made in Yvonne’s memory to the charity of your choice.
