Vincent P. Costigan

Vincent P. Costigan, 75, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born January 15, 1947, in Bronx, NY to the late Kevin and Bride (Murphy) Costigan.

Vincent honorably served his country in the US Navy during Vietnam. He retired from AT&T after 32 years of employment. Vincent was an active member and past commander of the former VFW Post 9575 in Potters Mills, PA. He loved traveling, especially to Chapel’s Cove Newfoundland Canada to visit with his family. After growing up in the city, Vincent became particularly fond of the woods, the mountains, and any quiet rural setting. He spent much of his free time reading classics and political thrillers and listening to classical music. Vincent loved cooking and grilling for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Costigan of New Jersey; five children, Vincent P. (wife Lisa) Costigan II of Hawaii, Craig (wife Dani) Costigan of Carlisle, Heather (husband Andy Garman) Costigan of Halifax, James (wife Dee) Madonna of Las Vegas, and Daniel Costigan of Las Vegas; one sister, Peggy (husband Arthur “Bud”) Eichorn of New York; one brother, Kevin (wife Teresa) Costigan of New York; and nine grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road Annville, PA 17003.
