Vickie Ann Goss, a cherished member of the Carlisle community, passed away at her residence on Friday, October 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 14, 1958, in Carlisle, PA, Vickie was a dedicated and compassionate soul who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Growing up in Newville, PA, Vickie was a proud graduate of Big Spring High School, Class of 1976. She was a talented member of the marching band and Majorette Team, showcasing her artistic abilities and passion for music. Vickie's commitment and proficiency extended into her professional life, where she excelled as an IT Specialist at the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot for over three decades. Her expertise and unwavering work ethic left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
A true homebody at heart, Vickie found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She adored her furry companions and cherished their companionship. Gardening and nature walks were among her favorite pastimes, reflecting her deep appreciation for the world around her. She was a very devoted grandmother and loved shopping trips with her girls, otherwise known as 'girls' days out'.
Vickie's memory will be forever treasured by her surviving relatives, including her beloved sister, Debra Kulp; devoted daughter, Tai (Frank) Henry; nurturing granddaughters, Saydee and Katelynn Henry; loving mother Donna Myers; her beloved furry companion, Daisy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Their lives have been enriched by Vickie's presence, and her legacy will continue to live on through the memories they shared.
In honor of her remarkable life, funeral service will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Home on Friday, October 11th at 12 noon. The community is invited to join in celebrating Vickie's life, reflecting on the joy she brought to those around her and the kindness she showed to all.
As we bid farewell to Vickie Ann Goss, we remember her as a beacon of light and warmth, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, and a dear friend to many. May her spirit find peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort to those who mourn her loss. In her final disposition, Vickie will be laid to rest in Carlisle, surrounded by the beauty of the land she so deeply cherished.
