Timothy G. George of Carlisle, PA loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend–unexpectedly passed away October 23, 2024, at the age of 38.
Tim is survived by his devoted, high-school sweetheart and wife Samantha; their children Timothy Daniel, Jacob, and Emma; his parents Dale and Pat George (Smith) of Carlisle; brother Phil (Sarah), sister Alysia (Eddie); in-laws, Dave and Mary Orr (Cuffari) of Carlisle, Melissa (Mike), Rebecca (Jeff), and David (Bridgette); and nephews and niece: Carter, Henry, Alyvia, Xavier, and Oliver.
Tim graduated from Carlisle High School in 2004 and participated in marching band and ice hockey. He graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2008. He started working for the Department of Defense in 2009 and worked his way up to becoming a well-respected senior financial analyst at NAVSUP Headquarters in Mechanicsburg, PA.
In his free time, Tim enjoyed watching every Miami Dolphins game as a diehard fan (FINS UP!), collecting sneakers, watching his sons play sports like football and soccer, playing with his children, attending concerts, golfing with the guys, and traveling to the beach. Tim was known for his love of Christmas: putting up multiple Christmas trees, elaborate outdoor holiday lights, and his expert gift wrapping skills using too much scotch tape. Tim would tell friends and family to “Always remember to buy the bonus!”
He will be remembered for all the love he had for his friends and family. He is immensely missed for his humor, charismatic personality, infectious smile, handyman skills, and generosity towards others.
Services will be held at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation in Carlisle, PA on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 12 p.m. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
