Teresa Adams

Teresa Ann Adams (née Peck), 76, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2025, at UPMC in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Born on November 28, 1948, in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, Teresa was the daughter of the late Gerald and H. Lucille (Klenzing) Peck. She grew up in McConnellsburg and graduated from McConnellsburg High School. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to further her education at Thompson Institute and Yorktown Business Institute. She had a dedicated career with West Manchester Township as a finance bookkeeper, retiring after more than 30 years of loyal service.

Teresa was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Murray, father of Traci and Jason. She found love a second time around and married Dan Adams in March of 1982, whom she shared a happy and caring marriage with until his passing in 2020. She was a loving mother to Traci Tilson and her husband, Shane, of York, Jason Murray and his wife, Kristen, of Carlisle, and Rebecca Adams of South Carolina. Later in life, she became a grandmother to six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Teresa was known for her unwavering support and unconditional love. She had a remarkable ability to listen without judgment, offering comfort and understanding to those around her. Her presence brought warmth and reassurance to many.

In addition to her deep love for family, Teresa found joy in simple pleasures. She adored spending time with her African Grey parrot, Kermit, and grand-puppy, Moose, whose companionship brought her great happiness. Crocheting was another passion of hers—a craft through which she expressed creativity and care.

Teresa’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her best—her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those who mourn her passing.

There will be no public visitation. Services and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
