Taneisha Lynnette Davis Hawkins

TANEISHA LYNNETTE DAVIS HAWKINS, daughter of Jodi Rynard and the late Thomas L. Davis, Jr. was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on February 13, 1979.

Taneisha was educated in the Carlisle School District. She took classes at Claremont Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center to become a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). Taneisha was employed by Manor Care Nursing and Rehabilitation facility as a CNA. She was loved and respected by the staff and by those who she cared for. Taneisha also was the care giver of her maternal grandmother.

Taneisha loved the Lord and attended Bethel AME Church on occasion. She was a member of American Legion Post 826 in Carlisle for several years.

Taneisha was a very compassionate and loving woman who would help anyone if she could. She loved her children and grandchildren and her dogs. Taneisha was never without her furry children.

Taneisha, her husband and youngest son had recently moved to Albany, Georgia to spend time with her husband’s family. Taneisha felt her husband had spent so much time in Carlisle with her family, that she wanted him to spend time in Albany with his. This act of love and generosity showed how loving and giving Taneisha was.

Taneisha leaves to cherish her memory of her husband Tedearl Hawkins of Albany, Georgia; a daughter, Oshanea Davis (Anthony Womack) of Carlisle; a son, Tazhon Davis (Taylor Dils), of Carlisle; a son, Savaughn Harris Davis of Carlisle; two stepdaughters, Tierra Hawkins and Jasmine Hawkins both of South Carolina; two stepsons, Matthew Hawkins of Chambersburg and Kyle Hawkins of Alabama; mother, Jodi Rynard of Carlisle; her siblings, Shaquille Davis of Carlisle and La’Shonda Carol of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Jakai Molino, Versai Molino and Sa’Youri Womack, Cyris Davis all of Carlisle; Malani Hawkins of Albany; paternal grandmother, Roberta Davis of Carlisle and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Taneisha was preceded in death by her father Thomas (Tommy) Davis, Jr.; her paternal grandfather Thomas (Stime) Davis, Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Myrl and Mary Rynard and the mother of Tedearl, Eddie Ruth Williams.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 11:00 am prior to the service.
