Tammy M. Bear

Tammy M. (Johnson) Bear, 48, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at UPMC Carlisle Hospital.

She was born on August 18, 1974, in Carlisle, PA to John Johnson, of Newville, and the late Deborah (Stone) Johnson.

Tammy worked for 27 years as a pharmacy technician for CVS and most recently worked as a receptionist/patient tech for Penn Rehabilitation Associates in Harrisburg. Tammy was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1299 Ladies Auxiliary in Carlisle. She was also an avid bingo player and a professional wrestling ‘superfan’. Tammy also very much enjoyed cats.

Surviving with her husband Jason E. Bear and her son Dalton Bear are two step-brothers, Tommy Johnson (Megan) of Mechanicsburg; and Robert Kern of Carlisle.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Tammy’s memory to Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 to defray funeral costs.
