Somboune Kakhankham

Our beloved father, Somboune Kakhankham, passed away on September 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on Tuesday June 8, 1948, in Sanakham/Vientiane, Laos, to Thitka and Khanthong. He grew up in Laos where he learned the values of family, community, and faith. After migrating from Laos to the USA in 1979, he worked tirelessly to provide a bright future and a safe home for his children, embodying the ultimate sacrifice of a loving father. Somboune devoted his life to his family and his faith, raising his three children with love and patience. He enjoyed cooking traditional Laos food, gardening, fishing, and helping others. Somboune is survived by his spouse Malichanh; three children, Sommany, Somphaphone, and Somwang; one grandchild Kolin; and his sister, Boun Peng.

A memorial service will be held at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle on Tuesday September 8, 2026, at 12 p.m. The family invites friends to share memories and celebrate a well-lived life.
