Shirley Cline

January 27, 1942 — October 1, 2025

Shirley A. Cline, 83, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Chapel Pointe.

Born January 27, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Earl Ray Adams and Esther Shearer.

Surviving are her children; Alan Cline (Janel) and Denise Stasyszyn (Joseph) both of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Jordan Stasyszyn (Alexa), Kelsey Cole (Norris) and Jacob Cline (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Jaxton Morales and Remy Stasyszyn; sister; Esther Swigert of Naples, Florida. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn L. Cline.

Shirley was a homemaker throughout her lifetime and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Carlisle Chapter.

In Shirley’s early twenties, she was presented with a multiple sclerosis diagnosis, a whole host of poor odds, and many physical obstacles. Her response was to tackle every single one of those odds and obstacles head on with a fierce determination to prove those doctors wrong, while outliving the poor odds she had been dealt. With never a complaint, never feeling sorry for herself and always putting others first, she not only achieved, but went beyond her goals and beat those odds. Shirley was a warrior who loved her family fiercely. It was in her being to always think of and put others first. She constantly sought out anyone needing advice, encouragement, or just a friend. She was truly a role model for others and the true example of perseverance against all odds. For her family and friends, she made this world a better place while always making each of us a better person. She will live on in our hearts forever as we continue to carry on with the grace, determination, love and thankfulness for the simple joys in her life that she modeled so well.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a memorial contribution to the ministry at Chapel Pointe or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the loving and dedicated staff that tirelessly and lovingly cared for our mom.
