It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sherry W. McSherry on May 25, 2026 at the age of 63. Sherry was born on November 1, 1962 to the late Jay and Sandra Weaver. She was the middle child to older brother Steve and younger brother Phillip.
Sherry graduated from Big Spring High School , class of 1981. She worked at Bon-ton, DHC and Orrstown Bank.
Sherry met her husband Bill on February 22, 2009 and they married on September 17, 2016. They bought a farmette in Landisburg and made that their home.
Sherry’s hobbies included crafting, designing and traveling. She enjoyed many friends she made throughout the United States from crafting. She loved riding on the back of Bill’s Harley. Together they made many very memorable trips to the New England States, Myrtle Beach, Georgia, Tennessee and twice to Sturgis in South Dakota, extending their second trip to Wyoming and Montana, visiting Yellowstone.
In addition to her mother Sandra, she is survived by her husband Bill McSherry Jr., her brother Phillip (Jerry) and their children Isabel and Paisley, her three children: Averi Stevens her children Noah and Ava, son Michael Baker and daughter Jillian Bragg, stepson Bill McSherry (Becki), step grandchildren: Brook, Deklan and Stone, step daughter Amanda Magill (Steve), brother in-laws: Robert McSherry (Yvonne) and Mike McSherry (Cheryl) and her four furry felines: Smokey, Bandit, Dixie and Hank.
Sherry dealt with many medical issues and was in constant pain. She is now resting comfortably and pain free in heaven with her brother Steve. Sherry was preceded in death by her father Jay and brother Steve. We will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday June 4, 2026 at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation 2020 W. Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. The family will receive family and friends from 10:00am until the time of the service. Pastor Richard Reese will be officiating.
