Sherry Lee Bailey

Sherry Lee Bailey, devoted wife and Christian, cherished mother and grandmother, and loyal friend, went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2025 at the age of 63.

Sherry was born and raised in Mechanicsburg along side her younger siblings. Most days you could find her up in a tree reading a book, or playing games with the neighborhood kids in the street.

Later in life she would go on to graduate from IT school, and work for DISA at the Navy Depot.

She was best known for her sense of humor, contagious laugh, artistic talent, love of reading, gardening, wisdom, compassion, open ear, guidance, her love for the Lord and so much more.

She is preceded in death by her son Dale Johnson, mother Pauline Gutshall and father William Adams. Survived by her husband of 19 years Leon Bailey, daughters Jennifer Wallace and Britney Mills, son Brandon Bailey, sister Polly Kunselman, brothers William Adams, Steve Gutshall, Jeff Gutshall, and Michael Zimnock, stepfather Marion Gutshall, grandsons Nolan Johnson, Hayden Edwards, and granddaughters Leila Johnson, Brielle Mills, and Isla Mills.

Her viewing will be held from 7 – 9 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville, PA.
