Scott A Betts, age 58, sadly passed away unexpectedly at his home in Carlisle on Friday, February 23, 2018.
He was born November 17,1958 in Quincy, MA to the late Earl C. Betts and Frances M. (Black) Betts.
Scott was a 1978 graduate of Carlisle High School. He attended Georgia Southern University and the University of Arizona. Scott excelled as a golfer in his younger days, where he played for the Carlisle High School golf team. Scott enjoyed his walks and could often be seen walking in the Old Mooreland area. Writing and drawing were also great passions of his.
He is survived by: his sister Sandra L. Chohany and her husband, Michael K. Chohany of Carlisle; nephews, Craig S. Chohany and Joseph M. Chohany; Uncle Robert Black; and Aunt, Gail Black of Carlisle. Scott was preceded by his mother Frances M. (Black) Betts in 1992 and just recently by his father Earl C. Betts.
Memorial services, for father and son, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday March 2, 2018 at the US Army War College Memorial Chapel, Carlisle Barracks with Chaplain (COL) Jerry C. Sieg officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
