Ruth Elizabeth Heath

Ruth Elizabeth Heath, 100, passed away on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at Alpine Valley Healthcare Center.

Ruth was born in Steelton, PA, on August 16th, 1925, to the late Ira and Mary (Keener) Bowman.

Ruth is survived by her brother, Scott Bowman and his wife Susan, sisters, Joyce MacDonald and Harriet Farling, sister-in-law, Marilyn Bowman along with several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Perry Heath Jr, Debbie, Valerie and Michele.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Perry Heath. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Bowman and Barry Bowman, and sisters, Dorothy Carter, Geraldine Grove, and Beverly Smith.

In her younger years, Ruth enjoyed fishing and quilting. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Arizona. She loved dogs, hummingbirds, and bird watching.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Compassus Hospice.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 21st, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Hwy, Carlisle, PA 17013.
