Ronald L. Tanger

Ronald L. Tanger, 88, of Boiling Springs, passed away on May 6. 2026, at his home.

Born July 10, 1937, in Boiling Springs, he was the son of the late Lester S. and Marie (Miller) Tanger. Ron graduated from Boiling Spring High School in 1955. He then continued his education and became an electronics technician, later becoming the owner of Tanger’s Appliance from 1986-2011.

Ron was a member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) and loved flying his airplane. He was a lifetime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Boiling Springs.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years, Marie (McCoy) Tanger: sisters-in-law; Erma Heffelbower, Katherine Snyder, Etta McCoy: brothers-in-law; Richard Snyder and Ralph Griffie.

A funeral service honoring Ronald will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Rd. Carlisle, PA 17015 at 11am, with a viewing from 10am until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
