Ronald Kent Taylor

Ronald Kent Taylor, 62, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at UPMC Carlisle, PA.

He was born February 22, 1960, in Charlotte, NC to Ronald Earl (partner Marilyn) Taylor of Midland, MI and Joanna F. (Feigles) (husband Rich) Weber of Saugatuck, MI.

Kent was a 1982 graduate of Purdue University. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles where he was employed with Van Waters & Rogers. Over a 40 year career in the agricultural industry he worked for a variety of companies including Bayer, American Cyanamid and Elf-Atochem. He finished his career with Vive Crop Protection. He was a big fan of all sports but especially enjoyed watching his alma mater, Purdue and the Detroit Lions. Kent was an avid outdoorsman, he spent most of his free time hunting, fishing, gardening, and caring for his lawn. He truly never met a stranger. Kent loved spending time with family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who had time to talk.

Kent is survived by his loving partner of 9 years, Dawn D. Fentress of Carlisle, PA; four children, James Kristopher (wife Amanda) Taylor of St. Paul, MN, Amber Lynn (husband Samuel) Williams of St. Joseph, MI, Ashley Dale (husband Brent) Neuenschwander of Marion, IA, and April Dawn Taylor of St. Joseph, MI; eleven grandchildren, Grace, Mattox, Jude, Will, Margot, Theo, Alice, Henry, Arthur, Wolf, and Nancy; two siblings, John Kristopher (wife Wendy) Taylor of Midland, MI and Cynthia (husband Chip) Feininger of Roswell, GA; one step-brother, Mitch (wife Joanne) Weber of Bellevue, NE; two step-daughters, Serena Rodriguez (partner Dustin Mulholland) of Carlisle and Shana Fentress of Miami, FL; two nephews, Bobby and Michael Taylor; five step-grandchildren, Kevin, T’auna, Kaleb, Madisyn, and Kay; his canine companion, Lucy; and his horse, Sky.

A celebration of Kent’s life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Fiddlers Bar and Grill, 1 Mayapple Drive Carlisle, PA 17015 and at a later date in Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kent to assist his grandson Mattox with his care.  Details about how to donate will be forthcoming.
