Robert Foltz

April 11, 1937 — April 10, 2024

Robert Cree Foltz Jr. 86, of Carlisle died April 10th, 2024 at Silver Spring Personal Care. Born in Harrisburg, Robert was the son of the late Robert and Sophia (Guyler) Foltz. Robert was married to his loving wife of many years, Gayle (Junk) Foltz. Robert worked for Gulf Oil on the Pennsylvania Turnpike managing service stations for 30 years. He co-owned, and operated Country- Aire Kennel in Carlisle for 35 years prior to his passing. He was a professional groomer for 25 of those years. He enjoyed breeding dogs, specifically airedale terriers. Robert was a member of many organizations, including Middlesex United Methodist Church, Carlisle Fish and Game, and the Central Pennsylvania Corvette Club. Robert loved drag racing as well as driving his three corvettes, years 1979, 1999, 2019. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and camping. He is survived by his wife, Gayle, as well as his three daughters, Lisa Beattie (predeceased Douglas), Jacqueline Dommel (John), and Jennifer Nailor (Scott). His grandkids, Stewart Beattie (Amanda), Erica Beattie, Daniel Dommel (Kelsey), Colleen Dommel, Evan Dommel, Erin Nailor, and Joshua Nailor, as well as one great grand child, Douglas Beattie.
Services will be held privately at the discretion of the family.
