Robert James Campbell

Robert J. Campbell, 76, of Carlisle, passed away on September 20th, 2025 at UPMC Carlisle after a long battle with illness.

Born in Dodge City, KS, Robert graduated from Dodge City High School and attended Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma. He proudly served in the Navy, including overseas service in Vietnam, and later in Rhoda, Spain. His life's work included farming, working in packing houses, a long employment at York Heating and Air in Wichita, kS, and retirement from Source One in Wichita, KS.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Campbell, and a son, Byron J. Campbell.

Robert is survived by his partner of 27 years, Kevin Spencer of Carlisle, PA, his children, Robbie E. Campbell, of Wichita KS, and Brenda A. Campbell, of Spring Hill, KS, his step-children, Sheleen Miller (Kelly) of Carlisle, PA, Jason Spencer (Tamairla), of Wichita, KS, Mathew Spencer (Toria), of Wichita, KS, as well as many grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Stephen Campbell, of Pheonix, AZ, Larry Campbell, of Grandview, MO, and his sister, Marsha Wiede, of Garden City, KS.

Robert loved gardening, fishing, his cat, Nightmare, travel adventures, and was an excellent cook and hard worker. He will be deeply missed.

Services will be held privately and at the discretion of the family.
