Rickey A. Stitt

Rickey A. Stitt, of Carlisle, passed away on January 25, 2024, at his residence at the age of 51. Born July 2, 1972, in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Hayden F. and Lena R. (Coover) Stitt.

Rickey was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church, Carlisle. He enjoyed attending livestock auctions, farming, and deer hunting and was an avid sports fan. Over the years, he coached football, baseball, and wrestling for various teams in the Carlisle area.

He worked for Giant Distribution for many years, followed by Frog & Switch Manufacturing Co. of Carlisle.

Surviving are sons Ryan Stitt of Alexandria, VA; Joshua Stitt of Carlisle (and his wife, Abby); Jeremiah Stitt of Carlisle; and Andrew Stitt of Carlisle. He is also survived by brothers Hayden and Robert Stitt, both of Carlisle, along with one grandson, Braxton Stitt. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive him.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
