Richard L. Bolen

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Richard L. “Pete” Bolen. Pete passed on Friday, December 23, 2022, in his home.

He was born January 26, 1946, to the late Sarah (Bolen) Hippensteel.

He loved his land and was an avid turkey and deer hunter. Pete was always happiest when he was outdoors. He was the longtime owner operator of Bolen’s Nursery and Landscaping. Pete retired from DDSP after 42 years of employment. More than anything, Pete loved his family, his pets, and his home in Blain, Perry County.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda V. Bolen of Carlisle; one daughter, Ashley (husband Jon) Weibley of Carlisle; and two grandsons, Chase and Aiden Weibley.
