Ray Walter Stouffer

Ray Walter “Clair” Stouffer, 86, of Carlisle, died Friday, June 2, 2023, at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Newville, he was the son of the late Walter and Isabel (Jumper) Stouffer and husband of 69 years to Mary (Myers) Stouffer.

Clair worked all his life as a truck driver, driving for many companies, retiring from Giant Foods.

He loved to bowl at Midway Bowling Lanes, even teaching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren the art.

In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by his daughter: JoAnne Yurcaba, of Harrisburg; his sons: Bob Stouffer (Cathy), of Camp Hill and Steve Stouffer (Chris), of Newville; his grandchildren: Jason DelRio (Erika), Jamie Nguyen (David), Renee Stouffer (Duc Do), Michael Stouffer (Brittany) and Rory Stouffer, as well as his eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
