Peggy M. Weldon

Peggy M. Weldon, Age 66, of Carlisle passed away August 27th, 2026 at home from brain cancer.

She was born October 30th, 1959 in Heidelberg, Germany. She was the daughter of the Robert D. and MaryEtta (Betterton) Glassel. Peggy graduated from West Perry High School in 1978.

She is survived by her husband Mark L. Weldon of Duncannon, in addition, she is survived by her 2 daughters April Weldon, of Carlisle, and Michelle Weldon of Duncannon, her grandchildren; Ariel, Andrew, Aalayah, Alyssa & Stanley.  She is also survived by her brother Bobby & Carol (sister-in-law) of Landisburg, Brenda Ritz of Colorado, and Linda Wilson of Louisville. She also had many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great-nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. She is preceded in death by her brothers Jimmy Glassel and Jerry Glassel.

She loved being in the community, she loved going to every event around town. She loved animals of every kind, camping, hiking, fishing, loved reading books, riding her bike and walking around town. She had many friends. But mostly she truly enjoyed being active in her church; she was baptized on June 11th, 2011. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her kids and her grandkids. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 3rd, 2026, from 1:00-2:30pm at New Life Community Church, 64 East North Street, Carlisle, Pa 17013. Her family is also requesting in honor of their mom who died from brain cancer to wear gray in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Savings Acres Farm, an organization near and dear to her heart.
