Nona Barrick

Nona Belle Brown Barrick, 84, of Carlisle, died Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Chapel Pointe.

Born April 17, 1939 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. Brown, Sr. and Lucille (Ferguson) Brown and the widow of the late Luther Eugene Barrick.

Nona was a 1958 graduate of Carlisle High School and was the former owner of Massey’s Frozen Custard, Carlisle. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 45 years. Nona was a proud mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was a strong businesswoman.

Surviving are two granddaughters: Amy Catherine Armolt Burnham, of Virginia Beach, VA, Rev. Emilie Margaret Armolt Morrison, her husband, Michael, of Spring, TX; four great grandchildren: Sabrina, Jesse, Cody and Alexander; a great great grandson: Micah; a niece: Karalee Highlands, Loysville and many great nieces.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Linda Jean Brown Armolt and a brother: Harry L. Brown, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
