Nina Vogelsong

Nina M. Vogelsong, 84, of ShermansDale, died Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Premier at Perry Village.

Born in ShermanDale, she was the daughter of the late Sherwood and Martha (Shelley) Sheaffer, Sr. and the wife of 39 years to Robert Vogelsong.

Nina worked as a waitress but spent most of her life raising her children. She enjoyed painting by numbers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Theresa Heinbaugh, Vanessa Ellerman, Kenneth Ellerman, Earl Ellerman; her seven grandchildren; her ten great grandchildren; her sister: Kathleen Sheaffer as well as her stepchildren: Patrick Vogelsong and Jeremy Vogelsong.

In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her brother: Sherwood Sheaffer, Jr. and her grandson: Bradley S. Ellerman.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. Her graveside service will be 11:30 AM Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Youngs United Methodist Church Cemetery, ShermansDale.
