Mildred Jean Bellmund, 102, of Enola, passed away on September 19th, 2025, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born in Johnstown, PA, on May 14th, 1923, Mildred is the daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Tracz) Leck.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Richard Bellmund (Joan), and James Bellmund, her grandchildren, Richard, Amy, Chelsea, Cyndi, Candace, and Christine, her 6 great grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Linda Sallay, her 2 brothers, and her 4 sisters.
Mildred grew up in Johnstown and lived on a farm up until she moved to New York. She was involved in the war effort during WWII and played a part in building the Nordon bomb site.
Mildred enjoyed cooking, going on cruises, spending time with family, and volunteering as a grandmother at Margetts Elementary School in Chestnut Ridge, New York.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. A prayer service will be held immediately following the viewing at 4:00 p.m.
