Michael Robert McGeehan March 20, 1982 – July 11, 2026

With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Michael Robert McGeehan on July 11, 2026, at the age of 44.

To know Mike was to love him. He was a devoted husband, an extraordinary father, a dedicated law enforcement officer, and a loyal friend whose larger-than-life personality, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family touched everyone who knew him. He lived a life defined by service, compassion, loyalty, and love.

Mike proudly served as a police officer with the Middlesex Township Police Department. His commitment to protecting and serving his community was matched only by his commitment to those he loved. He was a 2001 graduate of Northern High School and a 2015 graduate of HACC's Municipal Police Academy, (Act 120), where he proudly served as President of the 107th Police Academy Class.

While Mike was proud of his career in law enforcement, his greatest pride and purpose in life were found at home. He was the beloved husband of Nicole and the proud father of five incredible sons—Landon, Brady, Cooper, Colton, and Chase—who were the center of his world. Every decision he made and every goal he pursued was driven by his love for his boys and his desire to provide them with a life filled with love, laughter, guidance, and opportunity.

Mike loved all things outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, found peace and happiness at the beach, and treasured every opportunity to spend time in Lycoming County riding four-wheelers and making memories with family and friends. He also found great joy in mentoring young people through coaching with the Big Spring Midget Football Association and assisting with middle school and high school track and field. Whether wearing a badge, coaching on the field, or simply spending time with those he loved, Mike's impact on others was immeasurable.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Nicole; his cherished sons, Landon, Brady, Cooper, Colton, and Chase, all at home; his loving mother, Susan C. Kichman; his devoted stepfather, Michael, his dear brother, Shawn McGeehan (Tiffany); his beloved in-laws, John and Brenda Mark; his brother-in-law, Chris Mark (Megan); his beloved goddaughter and niece, Sloane McGeehan; his nephew, Laken McGeehan; several stepsisters and their families in addition to many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, fellow officers, and countless dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John H. McGeehan, maternal grandparents Jack and Janet Cline and paternal grandparents, James and Joan McGeehan.

Mike leaves behind a legacy of courage, kindness, integrity, and unconditional love. He laughed often, gave generously, served selflessly, and loved deeply. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on his family, friends, fellow officers, and community will never be forgotten. Mike's greatest legacy lives on in the lives of his five sons, who were the joy, purpose, and pride of his life. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at The Meeting House, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
