Meran Gosthnian

Meran "Gus" Gosthnian, 89, of Carlisle and formerly of Millsboro, Del., died Saturday July 9, 2011, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.

Born Sept. 13, 1921, in Annville, he was a son of the late John and Gertrude Tobias Gosthnian and the widower of Helen B. Fahnestock.

Meran was a 1940 graduate of the former Milton S. Hershey Industrial School, Hershey, and later retired from AMP, Inc..

Gus is survived by four children, Barry Gosthnian and wife Linda, Viola Lee, Lynn Rinker, and Trudy Maul and husband Harry; six grandchildren, Carrie Maul, Heather Ness, Brian Lee, Erika Hill, Jason Maul and Derek Lee; three great-grandchildren, Mikaila Maul, Eden Ness and Reese Maul; two brothers, Harry Gosthnian and Homer Gosthnian; and a sister, Margarite Dubble.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Armanog and Mardros Gosthnian.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
