Mary Gelbaugh

Mary J. Gelbaugh, 85, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Born on March 28, 1941, in Carlisle, Mary is the daughter of the late Glenn B. Morris and Marion I. (Sadler) Morris.

Mary is a 1959 graduate of Carlisle High School. For most of her life Mary was a homemaker. She spent her time raising and tending to her 4 children, taking them to their many events. She was a good cook and an excellent baker. Mary and her late husband, Dallas, were members of the Middlesex United Methodist Church for nearly 60 years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her four children, Stan M. (Denise) Gelbaugh of Ocean City, MD, Dan A. (Ami) Gelbaugh of Lemoyne, Julie E. (Marshall) West of Durham, NC, and Dallas W. "Chip" Gelbaugh III of Hanover; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janet (Earl) Keller; brother-in-law, Glenn (Wanda) Gelbaugh, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Dallas W. Gelbaugh Jr. Mary is also preceded in death by her sister, Glenda (Ed) Billman and her brother-in-law, Donald Gelbaugh.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 11:00am at Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 North Middlesex Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Miguel Arenas and Rev. Dr. Dennis Keller co-officiating. Burial will be private and held at the discretion of the family.
