Mary E. Wetzel

Mary E. Wetzel, 77, of Carlisle died Saturday, June 2, 2012, in the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.

Born March 25, 1935, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Walter S. and Minnie Barr Carpenter.

Mary was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle, and a charter member of Jim Thorpe Camping Club. She was a member of Eagles REACT.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Lonas L. Wetzel; a daughter, Jolene Gregor and her husband Thomas, Carlisle; a step-son, Kenneth Wetzel and his wife Carol, Carlisle; two step-daughters, Kimberly Wetzel and Karon Keeseman, both of Carlisle; two brothers, Robert Carpenter, Carlisle, and George Carpenter, Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Thelma Grogan, Adams County; six grandchildren, Tammy Gitt, Keith Darr, Jason Wetzel, Justin Wetzel, Mackenzie Gregor and Danielle Gregor; and three great-grandchildren, Bethany Wetzel, Caleb Wetzel and Jeremiah Wetzel. She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 6, 2012, in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle, with Rev. Bruce Fensterbush officiating. Burial will be held at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service in the funeral home.
