Madeline R. Webb (DeSimone), 79, of Carlisle, PA, and formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Born on January 5, 1947, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Antimo and Davina DeSimone. Madeline was the devoted wife of Robert Webb, with whom she shared over 56 years of marriage. Together, they raised three children: Robert (Kristina) Webb, Kristine (Larry) Barrick, and Dianne (Christopher) Powers.
In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by eight grandchildren: Samantha (Dylan) Palmer, Madison (Jacob) Sloop, Claudia (Devin) Cooke, Robert (Kendall) Webb, Megan (Andrew) Slear, Alexxa (Bryan) Sayers, Wyatt Barrick, and Christopher Powers II; and six great-grandchildren: Bobby, Hudson, Bo, Zachary, Davina, and Beckett, with a seventh (girl) expected soon. She is also survived by her sister, Denise (George) Oswald, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Robert DeSimone, Sr.
Madeline retired from the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill. Known for her humor and boundless compassion, she and Bob traveled the world, but her greatest joy was her family. Whether attending sporting events or cooking family meals, she made every member of her family feel like they were her favorite. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, January 26, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. A prayer service will be held Monday following her viewing at the funeral home. Interment will be held after the service in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
