Lloyd L. Patten

Lloyd L. Patten, age 86, of Newville, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Green Ridge Village, Newville.
He was born May 18, 1931 in Butler, PA to the late Lee Oliver and Alice Elizabeth (Heist) Patten.
Lloyd was a retired Professor of Art and Studio Ceramics at the University of South Alabama at Mobile for over 30 years. He honorably served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by: two daughters, Kimberly J. (husband Todd Alwine) Patten of Carlisle and Kelly P. (husband Kevin) Hatgas of Cleveland, OH; and four grandchildren, Hannah and Halen Alwine and Samson and Nathaniel Hatgas.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 21, 2017 at the Swaim Health Center at Green Ridge Village, 210 Big Spring Road, Newville, PA 17241.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle Arts Learning Center, Ceramics Program, 38 W. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
