Lillian R. Mentzer

Lillian R. Mentzer, 99, of Carlisle, died Monday, April 29, 2024, at Thornwald Home. 

Born in Hummelstown, she was the daughter of the late David and Maude Zeigler and the wife of the late Marlin B. Mentzer, who passed away in 2006.

Lillian previously worked in sales for Lehman’s Children’s Shop then the Little Shop as well as for the Treehouse in Carlisle and also worked alongside Marlin as a salesperson for Carlisle Memorial Service, until her retirement.  

She is survived by her daughters: Bonnie Coyle, her husband, Herbert, of Mt. Holly Springs, Barbara Birmingham, her husband, Michael, of Carlisle, Beverly Turner, her husband, Richard, of Florida and Belinda McGuire, of Carlisle; her 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Lillian was preceded in death by her four brothers, three sisters and her grandsons: Douglas Coyle and Joey McGuire.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 11:00 am Friday, May 10, 2024, at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Road, Carlisle, PA 17015, where the family will greet guests after 10:00 am prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lillian’s name may be made to Otterbein UMC at the address above.
