Leslie G. Rynard

Leslie G. "Ben" Rynard passed away in the wee hours on January 16th, 2026.

Ben was born in New Kingstown, PA, on April 19th, 1946, to Myrl & Florence Rynard.

Ben graduated high school in Boiling Springs, PA, in 1964. He worked with Rynard & Sheaffer Masonry Co. He was a brick mason for 48 years. He enjoyed his work and was very good at it. He also served in the Army Reserves from 1964-1971.

Ben was a member of Christian Bible Fellowship Church. He served as a deacon. He was a member of the Cumberland Valley Sportsman Association, where he was president. He loved to fish and many years ago, go hunting. He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends. He also had a manicured garden that he was very passionate about.

Ben is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Shughart Rynard, one son, Troy and his wife, Katie, a granddaughter, Ali, one daughter, Tina M., 2 brothers, Donald Rynard and Greg Weigle, two sisters, Delores Hostetter and Shirley Morrison, and several nieces and nephews.

Ben is preceded in death by his late parents, Myrl & Florence Rynard, one sister, Joyce Heberling, four brothers, Myrl Jr., Norman, Russell, and Jay, and a son, Todd.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Interment will take place at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Hwy, Carlisle, PA 17013. 

A luncheon will be held following the burial at the Christian Bible Fellowship Church, 49 Stamy Rd, Newville, PA 17241.
