Leona E. Sennett

Leona E. Sennett, 85, of Newville, died Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born March 15, 1927 in Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Carl D. and Ruth V. Woods Swartz.
She was employed by Trostles Dress Factory, Wellsville; Pennstate Alluminum; Sylvania Shoes; and CH Masland and Sons. Leona was a member of South Fairview Church of God where she volunteered. She was also a member of Penn Township Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-seven years, Harry R. Sennett Jr of Newville; five children: Judy Wolf of Gardners, Ruth Kitner of Newville, Sue Foster of Kansas, Robert C. Sennett of Gardners, Donna Shoff of Newville; and one sister, Mary Winters of Carlisle; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Harry Madison officiating. Burial will be in South Fairview Church of God Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
