Larry L. Chronister, 79 of Carlisle was reunited with his loving wife of 57 years on Sunday September 29, 2025.
Larry was born in Carlisle on Sunday December 16, 1945, to John and Vera (Kramer) Chronister. He attended and graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1964.
He spent many years working for Parsons Corporation as an engineer of construction management; and he spent 15 years as a deputy warden for the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Larry is survived by his son John (wife Brenda) Chronister of Mechanicsburg.
Nephew Victor Chronister and nieces Ruth Ann (husband Mick) Reed-Morris and Nellie (husband Michael) Reed-Welborn and Julie (husband Rusty) Jenkins, Mardell Chronister, and Frances (husband Eric) Chronister-Rider
Grandchildren: Gavin Choosakul, Kirsten Trimmer, Alixandra (husband John) Fider, Dillon Novak, and Gunnar Chronister
Great Grandchildren: Livia and Lexa Strayer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kay Chronister, his parents John and Vera Chronister, his daughter Erica Keim, his brothers, John, Brad (wife Lona); his sisters Mary (husband Earl) Blosser; Shirley Chronister, Fran (husband George) Henry and Helen Chronister.
He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather and was loved by all that knew him. Larry loved spending time hunting, fishing and building things in his workshop. After his retirement, he spent time traveling with Kay and seeing the country, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday October 3, 2025 at Grace Baptist Church 777 W North Street Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Jeff Oliver officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 at the church. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
