Kirk L. Shay

Kirk Leonard Shay, 81, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025. He was the son of the late James K. and Laura E. Shay.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary (Rahilly) Shay, three sons: Andrew (Maureen) Shay, of Mechanicsburg, Daniel (Stacy) Shay, of Carlisle, Gregory Shay, of Florida as well as seven grandchildren: Kaci, Brendan, Maria, Hannah, Roger, Kalliopi, Sophia, whom he loved very much.

Kirk retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1983, after having 21 years of active-duty service, as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. He retired from the Quaker Oats Company in 2001 as a supervisor.

In his life, he was an avid sports enthusiast and a golf fanatic. He loved life and he loved his family. He was an active member of Carlisle Elks Lodge # 578, where he enjoyed serving on the Board.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
