Kenneth Lee Graham

January 3, 1935 — October 25, 2022

Kenneth Lee Graham peacefully walked into heaven on October 25, 2022.

Born on Jan 3, 1935, Ken lived his entire life in Pennsylvania. He often shared that for part of his childhood he played on Gobblers Knob in Punxsutawney PA before it became known for the groundhog. He graduated from Big Spring High School in 1953. Soon after he began working at CH Masland & Sons and served in the National Guard. While at Maslands he held many jobs including various management positions. When the Residential Carpet production made its final move to Alabama, he continued to work as an independent contractor creating color lines for the next ten years until his retirement.

When Ken's time with the carpet industry concluded, he turned his talent and creativity to other pursuits. Ken enjoyed spending time in his workshop, even buying his own sawmill so he could create a piece from tree to art. Many people have been the recipients of Ken's carpentry, carvings, bowls, and handcrafted presents.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Ken was an involved citizen both with Dickinson Township and his church. In recent years he attended Carlisle First Church of God and previously belonged to the Plainfield First Church of God where he was at times Manager of Financial Commission, Trustee, Deacon, Elder, Council President and a member of various committees.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, William James and Esther Fulton Graham, his brother William Jr., his sister Lavana Breckbill, and his son Kirby. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Janet Hock Graham; his sons Keevin (Sara) and Kenneth (Beth); his five grandsons Lee (Cally), Adam (Katie), Brett (Jennifer), Alan (Lindsay), and Doug (Joelle); and four great-grandchildren, Kaira, Layna, Delilah, and Isaac.

A Celebration of Life Service in honor of Kenneth will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 3 with a visitation for family and friends held  at 1:30 prior to the services at the First Church of God, 705 Glendale St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
