June E. Stevens

June E. Stevens, 96, of Carlisle, died, Wednesday, February 17, 2011 at Green Ridge Village, Carlisle.
Born September 11, 1914 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Catherine Llwellyn Stevens.
She was a graduate of Elmer L. Myers High School, Wilkes-Barre. June received her BA from the former Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre and her MA from Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT. She retired after 25 years as a secondary school teacher in the Wilkes-Barre City Schools. June was a US Army veteran who served during WWII with the famed Eastern Flying Training Command.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2011at Grace Baptist Church, 777 West North Street, Carlisle with Rev. David Campbell and Rev. Dr. Michael McKelvey officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
