Jon C. Shahan

Jon C. Shahan, age 59, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at his residence.
He was born September 26, 1958 in Carlisle to the late Jonathan Charles Howard Shahan and Doris Mae (Moose) Shahan.
Jon proudly served his country in the United States Army. After leaving the service, he began working as a truck driver. He loved traveling. He rode his motorcycle on Route 66 and took several road trips with his wife to Arizona. Jon insisted on teaching his daughters “extreme driving “. He enjoyed fishing and, if they were biting, he would fish for anything.
He is survived by: his wife of 20 years, Cathy A. (Morris) Shahan; a son, Ryan D. Shahan; three daughters, Tabitha A. (husband Shawn) Beinhower, Rachel N. Rhoads and Heidi M. Dunn; three sisters, Dottie Chestnut, Nancy Parrott and Joanne Johnson; three brothers, Tommy Shahan, Timmy Shahan and Dan Shahan; and three grandsons, Ethan Scott, Colby Beinhower and Ayden Dunn. In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Shahan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Ryan Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville, with full military honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
