Joan C. Heckman

Joan C. Heckman, age 91 of Carlisle, passed away, Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.
She was born September 18, 1926 in Carlisle to the late Paul O. and Mary C. (Crain) Sunday and was the widow of Robert M. Heckman who passed January 30, 2007.
Joan was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and a member of Middlesex United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Heckman, Jon (wife Kathy) Heckman and Jim (wife Paula) Heckman; two sisters, Jane Sunday and Lois (husband John) Weary; grandson, Jon P. Heckman; granddaughter, Courtney Heckman; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Ressler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 N. Middlesex Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Jan F. Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex United Methodist Church.
