Jeremy Joynt age 44, died suddenly of natural causes May 19, 2023 at his home in Boiling Springs, PA, surrounded by family.
Born Jan. 18, 1979, in Monte Rio, CA, life took him through New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Colorado, then back to Albuquerque, NM where he was deeply involved in community theatre and his family, before relocating to Pennsylvania with Fiancé Emeli Roche.
Jeremy will be remembered for being jocular, mischievous and intensely curious, there was no mistaking the moment Jeremy decided to enter a room. Sharp-witted and playful in all things, he sought joy through the arts and the people in his life.
Jeremy succeeded in retaining a youthful wonder of the world which fueled his passion for numerous performances on many stages as well as exploring multiple musical instruments from the harmonica and ukulele to the pan flute and pennywhistle. He was avid about finding and sharing new music as often as possible. Sharing music was Jeremy’s love language.
He connected easily and often to the people he met, making him a fundamental part of creative communities to which he contributed both on and off the stage. Soulful as he was prankish, Jeremy loved deeply and passionately.
In addition to his Fiancé Emeli Roche, he is survived by his mother Melanie (Day) Joynt, sister, Amy Joynt, along with his nephew Keith Hogue-Joynt and niece Audra Hogue-Joynt and dog Quinny.
Memorial Services in honor of Jeremy will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023 at the Vortex Theatre in Albuquerque, from 3:00 – 9:00 PM.
In Lieu of Flowers guests should bring their favorite memory to share of Jeremy.
