On March 21, 2024 Jean Donnelly went home to the Lord. She was 96 Years old. Jean was born on September 19,1927 in Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania. She was one of 13 children born to Harry and Elsie (Gayman) Bowers, all predeceased. Jean lived on many farms all over Cumberland County, as her father flipped farms.
Jean worked for Carlisle Tire and Rubber, Minerva Yarn, and retired from the Holy Spirit Hospital after 10 years employed as an X-ray technician.
She loved her husband, her 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren with all her heart and soul.
She is survived by her husband Charles W. Donnelly Sr., her daughter LouAnn Guilles, her son Charles W. Donnelly Jr. (Roberta), son Dean Donnelly (Karen) and many nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren Shannon Marciano (Rich), Fred Guilles (Danielle) Jason Donnelly (Anna), Andrew Donnelly, Katelynn Piper (Travis) Her great grandchildren Hailey and Harper Marciano, Bentley Guilles and Landon Conrad, Jameson Thomson Donnelly, Tamen and Amelia Piper.
Her love of the Lord set an example for all of her Family. Her smile, her love, and the sparkle in her eyes will be missed greatly.
Hospice of Central Pennsylvania Harrisburg was a blessing to her family in her end days. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be submitted to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania Harrisburg. Home - Hospice of Central PA
A celebration of life ceremony as well as burial at Westminster Cemetery will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
