Jack E. Nace, 82, died Monday, February 13, 2024, at home in Carlisle surrounded by family.
He was born in Lansdale, PA December 16, 1941 to Vernon and Laura (Cassel) Nace.
Jack graduated from Albright College, and completed a post-graduation program at Dickinson College. Following graduation, he served in the US Army for a short time. Post-service, he became a Certified Public Accountant, and embarked on a career fulfilling his passion.
He was the husband of the late Eves (Kronenberg) Nace, who passed in 2015. Later, he found love with (Elizabeth) Ann Sawyer, who was his partner to the end.
Jack served on Council at Big Spring United Lutheran Church, where he was proud to practice his faith. He enjoyed traveling and exploring the world, yet also found a great appreciation for the simple life, demonstrated by his deep care and friendship for the Amish community, several of whom became life-long friends. Jack was a beacon of positivity, had a deep passion for helping people, and was loved by all.
In addition to Ann, Jack is survived by his nieces and nephews: Kim Russell, Crystal Fields, William Kronenberg, Suzanne Masterson, Christopher (Eric) Kronenberg, Karen Mallin, and Erin Kronenberg. He is also survived by numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, February 16 at 10 am at Big Spring United Lutheran Church.
