Isabelle L. Travitz

Isabelle Travitz, of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at her residence at the age of 90 while surrounded by her loving family. Born February 4, 1934, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late John Charles and Anna M. (Hege) Moffitt. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Walton Travitz, Jr.

Isabelle was known by her devotion as a loving wife and mother. She loved bingo, and over the years, her friends and family enjoyed her wonderful cooking. She was also known to host parties when close friends and family could gather. Isabelle very much enjoyed camping and traveling with her late husband. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Auxiliary, Carlisle. She was also a member of the Carlisle Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Tony Travitz, of Carlisle; and Todd Travitz, of Shermansdale. A sister, Reda Anna of Tuscon, AZ and brother, Frank Moffitt of Newville also survive her. She was the proud grandmother of grandchildren Leksi Travitz, Lauren Davis (Cody), Joshua Travitz (Sarah), along with great-grandchildren Chase Davis, Waylon Travitz, Wade Travitz, and Charlie Travitz. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Terrance Travitz, and several brothers and sisters. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with the Rev. Ed Roman officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Isabelle’s memory to the Community Aid Foundation, 2001 Springwood Road, York, PA 17403
