H. David Miller Jr.

H. David Miller Jr., 89, of Carlisle, passed away February 2, 2026, at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.

Born July 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Howard D. and Jane S. (Kiehl) Miller Sr. and the husband of Norma (McCoy) Miller who survives. He graduated from Carlisle High School class of 1940. Dave served in the United States Army and was a member of the First Church of God in Carlisle.

Dave found great joy in helping others and his community. Throughout the years, he served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, Orrstown Bank and the Church of God Home. He additionally served on the Board of Directors for Clyde Dupin Ministries.

He was an avid animal lover, reader and loved to learn. Throughout his lifetime he liked to exercise and enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball and softball.

Surviving Dave in addition to his wife are his daughters, Julie Kretzing and Sandy Miller; grandchildren, Brian Kretzing (Megan), Matthew Kretzing, Peter Meleason, Chris Meleason and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Kretzing.

A Celebration of Life for Dave will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the First Church of God, 705 Glendale St. Carlisle, PA 17013. A private family burial will take place at Westminster Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Synergy HomeCare and the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home for the wonderful care they provided to Dave and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Church of God Home in Carlisle.
