Helen Elizabeth McClintock Smith-Henry

Helen Elizabeth McClintock Smith-Henry, 95, of Newville, passed away on August 15, 2026, at Green Ridge Village.

Born on February 9, 1931, Helen is the daughter of the late Phillip McClintock and Eliza (Brownawell) McClintock.

Helen is survived by her sons, John L. Smith of Carlisle and Dale E. Smith (Penny) of Shippensburg, two granddaughters, Tara Bigler (Wayne) of Newville and Tena Fink (Corey) of Shippensburg, three great-grandsons, Gage and Hunter of Shippensburg and Garrett of Newville, great-granddaughter, Hadley of Shippensburg, great-great-grandson, Gunner Reineman of Shippensburg, and sister, Pauline Gilbert of Carlisle.

Helen is preceded in death by her mother and father, first husband, John M. Smith, second husband, Samuel Henry, siblings, Gertrude McCallister, Paul McClintock, Pearl Tobias, Ethel Eberly, Dorothy Hill, Margaret Wilson, Mildred McClintock, and great-granddaughter, Olivia Fink.

In her younger years, Helen worked for C.H. Masland, Carlisle Garment Company, and Newville Shoe, which she retired from. Helen took in and raised two of her nephews. She was also a member of the Bethel Assembly.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 5:00pm-7:00pm, as well as a one hour viewing prior to the funeral service from 10:00am-11:00am, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 11:00am, at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will take place at Westminster Cemetery.
