Harry J. Pine

Harry J. Pine, 73, of Carlisle, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at his home.
Born September 15, 1939 in McConnellsburg, he was a son of the late Harry and Gladys Bowers Pine.
Harry retired from the former C. H. Masland & Sons after thirty-five years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and clamming with his family in Delaware. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, the White Circle Club, and the AMVETS Post 274, all of Carlisle. Harry proudly served his country in the US Navy.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Dorothy Pine of Carlisle; one son, Harry J. Pine (and wife, Judy) of Boiling Springs; two daughters, Shantay Gantz (and husband, J. R.) of Shippensburg and Kandy Coyle (and Husband, Keith) of Carlisle; one brother Russell Pine (and wife, Shirley) of Ft. Loudon; two sisters, Betty Bender of Chambersburg and Nettie Rockwell of St. Thomas; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Sharp.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Timothy D. Wheeler officiating.
