Gregory S. Franko, 80, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully Friday, January 30, 2026 at his residence.
Born December 27, 1945 in Butler, PA he was the son of the late Stephen and Alys (Armstrong) Franko and the husband of 58 years to Dian (Beale) Franko.
Gregory proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
After a long career, he retired from Woolworth Corporation. He then worked part-time for the Patriot News for over 2 decades.
Gregory was an avid sports fan and loved watching baseball and football, especially the Pirates and Steelers. He also took great pride in his yard and spent countless hours outside, feeding the birds, squirrels, deer and even the wild turkey that visited his property.
He was a parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church and lived his life devoted to his family.
In addition to his wife, Gregory is survived by his children: Brian Franko, Amy (Steve) Keller, Christina Uliano; his grandchildren: Jack Franko, Jordan and Daxton Keller and Francis Uliano as well as his sister: Julie Franko.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Prayer Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. His burial, with military honors, will be held the same day at 2:30 p.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
