Gloria K. Walker, 73, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on April 26, 2026, at her home. 

Born March 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Chester Miller and Margaret (Reiber) Kilgus, and the wife of the late William S. “Bill” Walker, who preceded her in death in 2018.

Gloria was a graduate of Carlisle High School and continued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She had a career in nursing and was employed in several locations, most recently at Forest Park Nursing Home, before retiring in 2020. 

Gloria is survived by: her sons, Travis (Sarah) Walker of Florida and Nick (Sara) Walker of Carlisle; grandchildren, Bryce, Aidan, Cameron, Hadlee, Kayla, Paige; 1 great-grandchild; and siblings, Pat Chleboski of Texas, Linda (David) Lebo of Carlisle, and James “Jamo” (Brenda) Miller of Carlisle.

Gloria enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s extra curricular activities, vacationing at the beach with her family and friends, and watching her favorite sports teams. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be missed immensely.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at West Shore Free Church, Monday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers from Rosa’s Team and Hospice of Central PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA or West Shore Free Church.
