Gladys M. Kauffman

Gladys M. Kauffman, 87, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, January 8 2014 at her home.
Born November 7, 1926 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Mabel Spangler.
She was employed for thirty-nine years as an administrative assistant for the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. She taught herself to play the Hammond organ and was a member of the Hanover and York Organ Club. Also a member of the NARFE. She loved to travel, take bus tours, and knit.
Surviving are her husband, Roy E. Kauffman of Carlisle; one son, Steven A. Kauffman (and wife, Stephanie) of Lakeland, FL; two grandchildren, Sheree Keller (and husband, Walter) and Steven Kauffman (and wife, Rubie); and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 198 Old York Road, New Cumberland with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating.
