Georgiana Love

Georgiana Love, 97, of New Bloomfield, PA, passed away on May 31st, 2026.

Born in Carlisle, PA, on August 14, 1928, Georgiana is the daughter of the late William Griest and Ella Nickelson.

Georgiana is survived by a daughter in law, Shirley Love, stepson, Leonard Love (Donna), stepdaughter, Ruth Bikle (Mike), stepdaughter, Susan Hiltner (John), 8 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Georgiana is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Love, stepson, Kirk Love, stepsister, Mildred Kutz, and her parents. 

Georgiana graduated from Carlisle High School in the class of 1948. She then went on to work for C.H. Masland & Sons as an accountant for 40 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Perry County Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her cats and tending to her flowers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Georgiana's honor to the Loving Care Cat Rescue, lovingcarecatrescue.org .

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Interment at Westminster Cemetery will be private.
